No need to panic about global warming
The part I hate about the global warming debate is the naked attack on the scientific process, and that is the attempt to quiet voices that stray from mainstream thought. That's dangerous. We are questioning the existence of gravity and even our most basic knowledge of what we believe the universe to be made of - and we can't question the findings of climate scientists? That makes no sense. I say that even while acknowledging that in my crude understanding of climate change science, it appears that the warming trend is real and that man has had some role in that trend.
But I have not become convinced that someone has figured out just what we should do about it and how much money we need to divert in fighting it versus using those funds for more immediate needs that can have more immediate and maybe longer lasting payoffs. That's why this debate (or discussion) should not be declared over.
