N.C. Gov. Perdue jokes about suspending Congressional elections
She was trying to emphasis the need for the folks in Washington to put the country ahead of party and re-election. While I understand the sentiment, I don't believe even something that extreme will move some folks in Washington to put partisanship aside, because many of them are absolutely convinced that the only way to "fix" things is to be super partisan. To them, compromise remains a dirty word.
