Al Qaeda could be on verge of collapse
I'll mention this again: I got several emails and calls from conservatives near the end of the George W. Bush administration saying that while they were disappointed in a variety of things, including his handling of the economy, they really - really - appreciated how he kept this country safe because there were no major terrorist attacks on our soil since 9/11. During the Obama administration, there have been no major terrorist attacks, the president's policies - including fierce and constant drone strikes - have weakened that terrorist group to the point of near collapse, and under his direction we got bin Laden. For some funny reason, I have not been getting similar calls from those same folks saying that though they disagree with President Obama on certain issues, they still really - really - appreciate how he has kept this country safe.
