Sen. John McCain is expected to win the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate in Arizona tonight. Not everyone thinks that is a great thing, including a conservative who penned this harsh assessment of the four-time U.S. Senator. Is it a fair and accurate assessment?
My question: Considering he was leading his opponent 64 percent to 19 percent in a poll not-too-long ago, why did he find it necessary to make so many compromises -- or out and out changes -- on things he once said he held dear?
