A couple of weeks ago, a report showed that Americans in 2009 paid taxes at a rate as low as they did in the 1950s -- largely because of tax cuts proposed and enacted by President Obama -- even while the Tea Party crowd was yelling about being taxed too much under Obama. Now another report confirms that and shows that individual taxpayers will be paying less next year under the Obama proposals instead of the expiring Bush tax cuts. Why aren't these facts making its way through the liberal media with any more resonance or speed? And roughly 40 percent of South Carolinians don't pay federal income taxes -- putting us in the Top 10 in the nation.
