Former Florida University All-American quarterback Tim Tebow will star in a Super Bowl commercial that has a clear anti-abortion message while an ad playfullyshowing two guys kissing to promote an online dating site was excluded from the Super Bowl line up. The NFL has become and has remained the most powerful and prosperous sportin the country because it stayed away from the vagaries of politics and other controversial issues. By allowing the Tebow ad and rejecting the gay dating one, the NFL is stepping into something it probably really doesn't want to. It should tread likely. As for me? During the Super Bowl, I don't want to see Janet Jackson's breast but I like clever, funny commercials, which tide me over when Peyton Manning and Drew Brees aren't under center or in shot gun. I'm up to my neck in politics, but while enjoying the event that is the Super Bowl, I'd rather not have to deal with it for those few hours.
