I disagree with Friedman's assessment that the Nobel committee is devaluing the award, but his idea about what Obama should say in his acceptance speech would be inspiring -- but I'd be looking for him to include more than just our forces, as indispensable as they are. Obama can include the 11 Norwegians who successfully bombed a ``heavy water'' plant that the Nazis were using to speed along their attempts to create an atomic bomb. Had those eight men not done that, it's likely the Nazis would have gotten the bomb first -- and the world would be a vastly different place today. Our efforts during World War II were incredibly important and should never be underestimated. But we had help then as we need help now. It would be unwise for us to forget those kinds of lessons, and it would be good to remind Americans of those kinds of heroic actions that helped us and the world at large.
