Obama Salute Reminds Americans About Cost of War

I agree with this writer who said that President Obama did the right thing by showing up to greet the flag-draped coffins coming back from Afghanistan. I've always disagreed with the policy under previous presidents which banned press coverage of such events. We should never forget the real sacrifice such interventions require. I'm not saying that as a dove or a hawk. I'm saying that as a person who has loved ones in harm's way and want us to never forget about them, as well as everyone else putting their lives on the line.
