Limbaugh Dropped From Bid to Buy Rams

I really don't care if Rush Limbaugh became an NFL part-owner or not. But all of the noise surrounding his attempt (which failed) to join a group of investors trying to purchase the St. Louis Rams only helps Limbaugh with his audience, which is probably all he wanted any way. What I find fascinating, though, is how someone like Limbaugh makes millions throwing verbal hay makers then is surprised -- taken aback -- when the critics he created wanted to block him from purchasing the Rams or doing any number of things, and his supporters actually buy that he is a victim. He took the Rev. Jeremiah Wright route. Wright said criticism of him was an attack on the black church, while Limbaugh said attacks on him were an attack on conservatism. Both of them were wrong, even though both were taken out of context in some instances or even had people make up things about what they said. If you live your life punching people in the face, eventually someone will punch back and land a few in return. That's all that happened in this case. Nothing more to see here.
