I have a couple more public appearances coming soon, beginning this Sunday:
Issac Bailey, the local columnist for The Sun News, will be holding more discussions about race relations and book signings for his book ``Proud. Black. Southern. (But I Still Don't Eat Watermelon in Front of White People.)''
Bailey will be the guest speaker at 11 a.m. Sunday at Unity Christ Church. His talk -- entitled ``Is There a Racist in the House?'' -- is designed to spur a different kind of conversation on race and inspire listeners into self-reflection. He will hold a book signing and lead 6:30 p.m. town hall meetings on the following two Wednesdays, July 15 and 22, at the church, located at 1270 Surfside Industrial Park Drive in Surfside Beach just off S.C. 544 behind Dick's Pawn Shop.
And Bailey will be featured at a book signing and discussion from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25 at Lee's Inlet Apothecary & Gifts at 3579 U.S. Business 17 in Murrells Inlet.
