Michael Jackson and seven lost soldiers

I agree with this columnist that we shouldn't stop paying attention to what's going on in Iraq and Afghanistan. We shouldn't forget we have about 200,000 Americans still in harm's way, still slogging it out and staring potential death in the face every day. That's a big deal but sometimes, unfortunately, gets overlooked. I also believe making a big deal out of Michael Jackson's passing was appropriate. He is one of the few people on the globe who would garner that kind of attention. Like it or not, entertainment is a major part of our existence, which makes Jackson's passing extremely big news.
